Description
Rockdrill 220 from Exol is an extreme pressure lubricant designed for use in rock drills, jack hammers and other similar air operated tools. On pneumatic tools, the expansion of air may cause the temperature to be considerably lower than ambient. Rockdrill 220 is formulated to be free flowing through airline lubricators and integral oilers under these conditions.
A second characteristic of air is that the relative humidity increases with decreasing temperatures, and unless the air has been specifically dried, water vapour will condense out into the working surfaces of the pneumatic tool. Rockdrill 220 oil has been formulated to protect against corrosion and to withstand high pressures in sliding vane air motors. In all applications the importance of choosing the correct viscosity is emphasised to ensure maximum operating efficiency of equipment.
